As North Carolina's official World War II memorial, the Battleship North Carolina has been authentically restored to resemble her readiness during the height of the war. This ship has many artifacts left intact from the time of her decommissioning in 1947 donated by individuals and former crew. The museum (on the dock) is filled with personal gear, documents, ship models, textiles, photographs, oral histories, and ship furnishings from all ships christened with North Carolina in the name including a Confederate Ironclad and an armored cruiser from the early 1900's and the most recent Nuclear Attack Submarine North Carolina commissioned in 2008.

Tour the ship by yourself or with a guide; group tours are also available by reservation.
